Sterre Hond
Pianist Sterre Hond graduated from the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam in 2024 with Bart van de Roer. She is a young classical pianist and composer with a preference for the romantic and impressionistic repertoire. Sterre sees colors in certain sounds. A composition of hers can therefore be seen as a color palette or painting. During concerts, Sterre takes the audience into her world of experience where color and sound are literally connected. She does this by also playing her own compositions, which can be described as cinematic. Sterre participated in the music of the Broadway show 'The Pianist' in New York. She has also won various prizes, including at the Festival d'Anniviers in Switzerland In 2023, Sterre was heard on NPO Klassiek. She also collaborates with film composer Alex Simu, an internationally acclaimed clarinetist, saxophonist and composer.
